Recently refurbished to an excellent standard, style and quality this is a wonderful place to stay. As a couple, with friends or a family it works for all variations. Lovely open dining table for guests to mix and chat, excellent pool, loved the brai in the garden and sundowners views are top rate. Informal staff who are proactive and will do anything to make the stay personalised and perfect. Loved our 5 days and will definitely return.

Rooms are spacious and private with incredible mountain views (its name means 'the key to the mountains'). La Clé des Montagnes is the best-kept secret in Franschhoek!

The owners of La Clé des Montagnes are foundation sponsors of The Kusasa Project, a local community organization that serves 1500 children in 5 local schools, utilizing up to 60 volunteers and operating both in-school and after-school programs. These programs range from feeding, literacy, sport, life skills to art, drama, chess and ballet. They focus on disadvantaged children, to offer activities which schools are unable to offer.
